Meet Chef Axl

The little baker with a big passport — and the family behind every recipe.

Come along with Chef Axl on a baking journey around the globe — a little chef with a big passport, baking the treats kids love most in country after country, each one tested and made with love in our own kitchen.

This started as a family project, but it grew into something bigger: our intention is to help our little kids' community learn to bake — and to learn where their food comes from. Every recipe is a small lesson. We pick a country, dig into one of its most-loved bakes, and test it in our own kitchen until it's just right. Then we write it down with its history and ancestral roots, so a child isn't only measuring flour and sugar — they're discovering the people, places, and traditions that created the treat in their hands. That's why we built a community around it: baking is more fun, and history sticks better, when kids do it together. Some days the kitchen looks like a flour tornado hit it. That's part of the learning too.

🌍

A world to taste and learn

Every country has treats worth travelling for — and a story behind each one. We bake our way across the map, one stamp at a time, so kids gather flavors and a little geography and history along the way.

Made for little hands

Big, friendly steps, clear tips, and honest notes on which bits need a grown-up — so young bakers can lead the way and build real confidence in the kitchen.

📖

A story with every bite

Where a recipe comes from is half the magic. We share each treat's history and ancestral origin in simple words, so kids learn something true about the world every time they bake.

Our little chef

Some of these recipes were baked by Chef Axl himself. Where you spot the 👦 Baked by Axl badge, that's one he made — flour on the nose included.

A community of tiny world bakers

Learning is better together. The Bake Club is run for grown-ups: a parent or guardian signs up, and each week we send a new recipe and a printable challenge to bake at home. Families are welcome to share how it went by emailing us at info@bakewithchefaxl.com or tagging us on our own channels — but there are no child accounts and no public kids' feed here. It's a gentle, grown-up-managed way to make baking a shared family habit.

How the shop works

Everything Chef Axl bakes with lives in our own Baking Supply Depot — tap 'Find it in the Shop' to see it there. Pantry basics are everyday kitchen staples. It helps keep the recipes free for everyone.
